The Decisions portal has a number of built-in features to support the workflows and apps that are built using the workflow, form, and dashboard designers. A partial list of these include:

The platform, as well as all prebuilt forms/dashboards in the portal can be branded using CSS and customization. Functionality can be secured so that only users with rights can access it, new functionality can be attached to any entity in the portal, prebuilt functionality can be removed or replaced. The entire experience can be branded so that it matches your corporate look and feel.

Security

Integrated Security

Every function and all data in the portal can be secured (without extra custom work) to the user or group permissions. The definition of users or groups can be natively managed by ‘Decisions’ or done by an external source.

Single Sign-On

Users do not need to sign into the portal with a user ID/password, it’s configured to use an SSO provider like SAML, OpenId, Okta, or Active Directory.

Personalization

Different users will get different views based on how functionality is configured. For instance:

  • Some user groups may have the right to start administrative workflows (and would see them) while others do not.
  • Views and dashboards may be different for different users
  • The navigation tree respects security and rules, so some areas of the portal may not be accessible for some users
  • Forms may be configured so different users either see different forms or different data on the forms
  • Reports respect data security and will only show the data that the user is allowed to see
  • User locale and language settings are respected

Multi-Language

A translation service is built in so that the resulting portal and user interaction elements can be translated into different languages. As new translatable elements are added to forms, built-in workflow processes start to trigger the responsible ‘translation user’ to translate the untranslated phrases.
