Participants showcased their expertise in integration and automation using the latest ChatGPT module, all competing for the prestigious “Creator’s Cup.”
Our newest ChatGPT module, introduced during Decisions Days, offers users a seamless integration of chatbots into their workflows. Six participants submitted their unique use cases to our panel of judges who meticulously evaluated each submission based on criteria such as goal accomplishment, synergy between Decisions and ChatGPT, and impact for the business, customer, and user community.
Heath Oderman and Gordon Jones, the hosts of the awards ceremony, highlighted three use cases that exemplified the greatest successes. These builds not only demonstrated the endless possibilities of integrating large language models into business workflows but also demonstrated the potential for elevating processes and driving efficiency. Among the participants, Shift4, a leading payment processing company serving restaurants, hotels, and various transaction-based businesses, emerged as the ultimate winner. Their live build stood out for its impressive practicality and impact on the industry.
Shift4 ingeniously leveraged the ChatGPT module to integrate with their payment processing system, revolutionizing the process of converting PDF menus – much like those found in your favorite Chinese take-out restaurant – into a structured format for point-of-sale devices.
Traditionally, this conversion was a time-consuming, manual process. By utilizing Decisions rules and the power of ChatGPT, Shift4 automated the extraction of menu text from PDFs, organized it into JSON format, and streamlined the upload to their point-of-sale devices. This integration not only saved a significant amount of time and effort, but ensured accuracy and efficiency throughout the entire process.
